Orange River 4 day

Day 1:
When you arrive at the base camp you will be welcomed by your guides. After a short debriefing you settle down and spend the evening relaxing around the camp fire, listen to the stories of previous river excursions, gaze in wonder at the stars and enjoy mouth watering bush cuisine.

Day 2:
After a cup of coffee, shower & healthy breakfast we start preparing our equipment for the river trip. Here you will be allocated with a dry bag (about 30 litres per person) or a watertight barrel (about 25 litres per person) for your clothes and cooler box (capacity of 52 cans) per two people. You will also receive your life jackets, paddles and boats. After your safety speech & demonstration we head down to the river. Please take note that there is no designated campsite while on river but your guides will ensure a safe spot for the night's rest.

Day 3:
Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a traditional South African breakfast, while the sun comes up. Get into our rafting gear and continue further down the river. Experience Grade 2 rapids, large pools, great for fishing, swimming and water fights. The night is spent again on the banks of the river, under the beautiful star lit sky.

Day 4:
Leaving the peace and tranquility behind we pack up and head down stream to the pickup point. Here we have lunch and wait for our lift back to our base camp (the drive will be approximately 1 hour) The rest of your time is spent at own leisure while chatting about your moments on river! That evening we enjoy a braai and apple crumble prepared on the fire.

Depart back to Cape Town early the following day. Recommended time for departure is 06h30 to help miss the traffic back in the city.
